Directed by B. Monet
The Divas With Disabilities Project is proud to present a short film documentary directed by the award-winning filmmaker B. Monét.
This film centers the powerful journey of Dr. Donna Rena Walton, founder of The Divas With Disabilities Project and a movement maker amplifying the voices of Black and Brown women with disabilities.
Through intimate storytelling and striking visuals, this film weaves together Donna’s transformation, her mission, and the legacy she’s building.
The film also amplifies the voices and visions of Black and Brown women with disabilities—artists, advocates, and icons—who are reshaping the narrative and reclaiming the lens.
Filmed on location in both Washington, D.C. and New York City, the documentary captures moments of joy, movement, and truth in two iconic backdrops of culture and activism. Each frame is a declaration: We are here, we are radiant, and we are rising.
This project is more than a film. It is a movement rooted in visibility, artistry, and justice. It is a cinematic celebration of unapologetic beauty, power, and legacy.
It invites viewers to witness the brilliance of disabled women as they define themselves—on their own terms.
Visibility is power—and this film demands to be seen.
We invite you to explore, support, and share.
Because representation isn’t a trend—it’s a legacy.
